Concern for Our Community and The World We Share

We live in Maine and plan to do so for many years to come. Therefore, we care about the impact of the materials we use on the environment. All of our painters are trained in the proper handling, use, and disposal of hazardous painting materials in accordance with local and Federal Government regulations. We usually recommend latex (water-based) paints and stains to our customers. These products are more frequently improved than are oil-based products and are more ecologically sound.

Giving Back To The Community

During the month of June, 2006, D B Withrow Painting Company donated three days of painting to a Habitat for Humanity project in Shapleigh, Maine. Interior and exterior painting was done. Below are some photos of that project.

“I was thrilled with the end result. I had requested this for last year but was told (last year) that I might not make it given the weather. They followed up with me and were so accommodating with my new schedule (other home repairs). They did a great job power washing the house. Everything sparkled. I had just put on a new roof so I was concerned that they might spill something. Not only did that not happen, but they were on the roof with a leaf blower to blow off paint chips! They also wrapped the house and made sure nothing went on the windows. There was no evidence, other than a great paint job, that they were even there!”
